Parkour is all about freedom of movement, creativity, and controlled chaos! Whether you're climbing, flipping, running or jumping, our parkour programme teaches athletes how to move through obstacles safely and efficiently.

IS IT YOUR FIRST TIME AT HUTT VALLEY GYMNASTICS?

We are so happy you're here!

When you arrive for your class, please make your way to the grand stand, on the right hand side of the building, to sit and wait for your class. At the start time of your class, your coach will call you onto the floor for a group warm up.

After warm up, the roll will be taken and athletes will be split into small groups with one of cour incredible qualified coaches for the remainder of the class.

Athletes will move through different circuits at floor, bar, trampolines and beam. Each apparatus will have a different focus each week, working on fundamental movement patterns and building the foundations of traditional gynnastics skills. 

Class Etiquette:

  • Please wear clothing that is appropriate for gymnastics, such as shorts, leggings, trackpants or activewear - please leave the skirts & dresses at home
  • Take your shoes and socks off before class and leave them with your adult behind the gate
  • Make sure you bring your drink bottle. You will get drink breaks throughout the class
  • Most of all, have fun and be kind to your class mates!

Adults of Athletes:

  • We ask that you please remain behind the gate during classes
  • If your child has additional needs and requires you to be on the floor with them during their class, this must be approved by the coach. Please email admin@huttvalleygymsports.co.nz or speak to your coach directly before entering the floor
  • If you have young children in the building with you, we have a great play area avialable for them to play in with bench seating for you
